MINISTRY OF CONSOLATION

BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT

It is very important for the bereaved to get the support during the difficult time of mourning the loss of their loved ones.  This is the moment when we realise that the community we belong to is also our family and shares our grief. There are many people who will support us spiritually during this time but also offer their time to have a chat and share their own experiences.

We run a regular bereavement café on the first Tuesday of the month at 10am in the parish rooms at Holy Name where all are welcome, whenever anyone’s loss occurred.

Every November, during the month of Holy Souls, we hold a Mass or service for the Bereaved in both Churches.

If you need to access bereavement support we can put you in touch with trained consolation support volunteers within the Deanery.
